Position Overview

This Adjunct Faculty member provides Instruction primarily in Commercial Driver's License courses and other related areas given appropiate credentials.

Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.

* Teaches in lecture and laboratory settings

* Plan and organizes instructional materials to meet course objectives

* Evaluates and advises students

* Develops curricula

* Recruits students

* Participates in departmental and College affairs

* Serves on committees

* Performs other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed

* High School Diploma or GED and valid CDL Class A license with a minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor trailer driving experience demonstrating instructional competency.

* All educational degrees must be from regionally accredited institutions

* Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)

* Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community

* Ability to work flexible schedule which may include morning, evening and weekend assignments

* Must be able to travel between campuses, clinical sites and off-campus offering sites

Additional Requirements

The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
