Staff‑ Support Staff Grade C1 Salary $14.00 – $14.50 Department Continuing Education / Recreation & Leisure Reports To Program Manager, CEPD Closing Date Open Until Filled FLSA Status Non‑Exempt First Review Date February 12, 2026

The Part‑Time Camp Counselor assists with the oversight of the youth camp.

Works under detailed instruction and close supervision.

Temporary summer position.

• Oversees an assigned group of campers in day‑to‑day activities
• Learns the material and activities provided in advance
• Takes initiative in all projects
• Follows directions and coordinates events as instructed; attends mandatory training as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from a regionally accredited institution
• All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
• Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
• Possess special skills such as: interest in arts, crafts, computers, sports, science, environment, reading or math
• Ability to be comfortable working outdoors for extended periods of time under varied environmental conditions
• Ability to pass swim test, if required
• Knowledge and training in CPR and First Aid
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignments
• Ability to work well in a multi‑ethnic and multi‑cultural environment with students, faculty and staff

The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
