Assistant Professor in Criminology and Criminal Justice

The Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs, a full member of the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA), is seeking applicants for two tenure‑track assistant professor positions in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice. The start date is August 2026. A Ph.D. in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or a closely related field is required, although ABD candidates will also be considered.

Responsibilities
  • Engage in research publications.
  • Write grant proposals and pursue external funding.
  • Teach a 2/2 teaching load.
  • Mentor and supervise doctoral students.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in both research and teaching.
  • Potential to secure external funding.
  • Engagement with emerging technologies in criminal justice (e.g., artificial intelligence, cybercrime, predictive policing) or focus on crime, justice, and punishment in international or transnational contexts (e.g., human trafficking, comparative policing, terrorism and counter terrorism, transnational drug cartels).
  • All specialization areas will be considered.
Compensation

Salary is nationally competitive and commensurate with experience.
