GPAC is partnering with an innovative, growing K-12 independent school near downtown Miami that is seeking a Kindergarten Teacher / Curriculum Specialist committed to helping all children find joy and success as learners.
This position will start as a Kindergarten classroom teacher role for the 2026-27 school year with department chair duties that include establishing a model / demonstration classroom to share best practices with fellow teachers. In time, this position is designed to become a standalone administrator role with a focus on curriculum development and teacher support at the kinder/prek level.

Candidates with at least 8 years of prior teaching experience in private school settings are highly preferred.

Responsibilities- Teach classes as assigned, providing effective and professional classroom instruction, assessment, and management.
- Design and implement curriculum and instruction consistent with the mission, values, and standards established with the academic program.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and on enhancing instructional practices and strategies.
- Establish effective communications and relationships with students and parents.
- Exhibit a growth mindset about teaching practices and work toward professional goals and development.
- Develop and maintain professional, collaborative, and collegial relationships with faculty and staff, as well as with community partners to the benefit of students and classes.
- Participate in required non‑classroom activities, including Back to School Night(s), parent/student conferences, retreats, faculty and meetings, field trips, and special activities and performance events.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in education, teaching, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 8 years of teaching experience in a K‑12 setting.
- Florida teaching certification in applicable grade/content area(s) preferred.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written).
- Deep dedication to learning and developing as an educator.
- Collaborative work style paired with the ability to take initiative.
- Strong classroom management skills and expertise in differentiating instruction.
- Experience developing curriculum in primary grades / early childhood education settings.
- Eagerness to learn new technology and systems.
- Strong understanding of teaching through a balanced literacy approach.

- Strong analytical abilities and enthusiasm for data‑driven instruction.
