College Planning Advisor

Class 101 South Miami FL is seeking a college planning advisor to empower students, serve families, and inspire the next generation. The role involves direct college planning through individual meetings and group classes in our office.

As a dedicated college advisor, you will recommend potential colleges fitting clients’ goals and budget, assist in identifying a career path that aligns with their abilities and interests, and support them in achieving these goals in the most cost‑effective manner possible.

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver effective meetings with students to educate and empower them on how to navigate the college process using the Class 101 curriculum.
  • Encourage, motivate, and keep students on track as they progress through the college admissions process.
  • Serve as an instructor for group prep classes, delivered using the Class 101 curriculum.
  • Gain expertise in all Class 101 curricula and our approach to helping students and families, including:
    • Identifying student goals for college and career.
    • Understanding family college budget requirements.
    • Counseling students and families to identify resources for scholarships and financial aid.
    • Providing expertise for developing college lists.
    • Providing regular meeting summaries.
    • Serving as a reliable knowledge source for students and families.
    • Maintaining and growing knowledge of colleges most reviewed by students in your area.
    • Meeting deadlines for submitting applications.
    • Developing and interpreting summary reports on students’ progress on standardized tests.
    • Guiding students through the essay writing process to create and refine main, supplemental, honors, and scholarship essays.
  • Increase client base through delivery of sales presentations to potential students and families, and meet and maintain monthly and quarterly goals.
