The Librarian position at Ransom Everglades School is a full‑time staff position reporting to the Director of Libraries. This position is based on the Middle School campus and supports the Middle and Upper School libraries.

  • Liaise with faculty to create digital and book collections that support the School curriculum.
  • Update the current Lib Guides and create new ones as required.
  • Assist with teaching library skills and research classes, when required, on both campuses.
  • Review the usage of digital resources monthly.
  • Prepare periodical library and archives newsletters.
  • Update and maintain the libraries’ webpage.
  • Assist in the archives as needed.
  • Cross‑train in all duties on both campuses.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in library and information science.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency in library management systems.
  • Proficiency with academic databases.
  • Previous library experience.
  • Educational background (preferred).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel between campuses.
