School Faculty - High - Archbishop Coleman Carroll HS
Archbishop Coleman Carroll High School in Southwest Miami-Dade, Florida is growing and, therefore, has an opening for a qualified full-time Social Studies Teacher. This teacher will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for high school Social Studies. This person must be supportive and respectful of the mission, vision, and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church and performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
The school seeks to hire and retain employees who are skilled in their field, desiring to work in a Christ-Centered environment and support the school’s mission. Applicants should have the ability to relate to and work well with others, possess excellent writing, communication, organizational and leadership skills. Salary is commensurate with degrees and years of experience.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in social studies/history or related field required.
- Florida Department of Education Teaching Certification in Social Science grades 6-12.
- At least one year of teaching at a high school level is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or similar forms is a plus.
- Strong presentation skills with use of instructional technologies, digital books, and interactive classroom technology.
- Excellent classroom management skills and demonstrated ability to engage students.
- Excellent oral and written English language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Must be fully committed, supportive and respectful of the mission, teachings and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church and Archbishop Coleman Carroll.
- Must have a professional and pleasant, service-oriented demeanor.
