Job Summary
The Center for Academic Success (CfAS) is currently seeking a Temporary Tutor-CfAS to join their team of professionals.
Duties Include- Conduct individual, small group, and/or online tutoring sessions.
- Review classroom or curriculum topics and assignments.
- Assist students with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research and other academic tasks.
- Help students understand key concepts, especially those learned in the classroom.
- Provide students positive and constructive feedback.
- Participate in tutor training sessions/meetings.
- Support projects appropriate to the department functions.
High School Diploma and 1 year of experience in subject areas or equivalent combination of education/experience.
Desired Qualifications- Proficiency in the subject-areas to be tutored.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments.
- Ability to relate with students from varying education, cultural, and social backgrounds.
- At least two instructor recommendations.
Temporary
