Physical Education Teacher

Miami Arts Charter School is seeking a Physical Education teacher to join our team!

Miami Arts Charter School has been operating since 2009 in Miami's exciting Wynwood Arts District. Students are admitted through an application and audition process in the performing and fine arts. We do not have a random lottery selection process.

• Manage and educate students in a classroom setting
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans
• Adhere to the established teaching curriculum
• Maintain positive relationships with students and parents
• Document and share student grades and evaluations
• Maintain the health and safety of all students

• Previous experience in teaching or other educational fields is preferred but not required
• Ability to build rapport with students
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong leadership qualities
• State of Florida Teaching Certificate (Professional or Temporary) or Statement of Eligibility. Qualified candidates who have not yet applied for a Florida teaching certificate but are eligible to do so may be hired as a temporary substitute while the certification process is underway.
