St. Timothy Catholic School in Miami, Florida has an opening for a qualified Physical Education Teacher for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. This teacher is responsible for planning and implementing engaging lessons that promote fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship and healthy habits. The PE Teacher will assist the Athletic Director with the after-school sports program. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Salary is commensurate with certification and years of experience.

Schedule:

7:25 a.m.

- 3:25 p.m. Hours may be adjusted to accommodate after-school sports.

• Bachelor’s degree in education or physical education.
• Florida department of Education Physical Education K-12 teaching certificate, temporary or professional required.
• One year of experience in teaching PE.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written English-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
• Good spelling and grammar are required.
• Strong presentation skills with the use of innovative instructional technologies.
• Proficiency with interactive boards, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel;
  PowerPoint a plus.
• Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
• Must have knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
