Salary Range: $47,566.61 To $53,644.77 Annually
Job DescriptionThe MTSS Teacher provides targeted academic intervention and instructional support to students who require additional support beyond core instruction. This role focuses on delivering Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions aligned with the school’s Multi‑Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework.
Reporting to the principal or campus administrator, the MTSS Teacher works closely with classroom teachers and administrators to implement research-based interventions, monitor student progress, and ensure students receive timely and effective support to close learning gaps.
This role requires a highly organized and data-driven educator who is skilled in differentiated instruction, small‑group intervention strategies, and progress monitoring to accelerate student learning.
Key Activities- Plan and deliver standards‑aligned, targeted intervention lessons
- Implement curriculum, assessments, and instructional frameworks with fidelity
- Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student learning
- Provide targeted small‑group and differentiated instruction
- Maintain a structured, safe, and engaging classroom culture
- Collect and maintain accurate progress monitoring data for students receiving interventions
- Provide data and documentation to support MTSS meetings and problem‑solving discussions
- Support documentation for students who may require additional evaluation or support services
- Establish and maintain consistent classroom routines
- Implement school wide behavior systems with fidelity
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
- Provide targeted academic support to students performing below grade level
- Support diverse learners including ESE, 504, ELL, and students requiring targeted interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and support staff to address student needs
- Maintain communication with families regarding intervention progress when appropriate
- Attend and actively participate in meetings, PD, coaching sessions, and MTSS trainings
- Submit lesson plans, data reports, and compliance documentation on time
- Uphold all school policies, procedures, and professional expectations
- Use beginning‑ and end‑of‑year extended weeks to strengthen MTSS systems
Provide targeted, high-quality academic intervention that ensures students receive the support necessary to close learning gaps, master grade‑level standards, and achieve long‑term academic success.
Success in Year 1:- 70%+ students demonstrate grade‑level mastery in core content
- 80%+ of Tier 2 students show measurable growth toward intervention goals
- 100% MTSS compliance documentation submitted accurately and on time Classroom meets school wide behavior expectations with minimal referrals
- Meets highly effective on professionalism, i.e. arriving on time to work, submitting lesson plans and data on time

- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
- Valid or eligible Florida teaching certification
