Job SummaryResponsible for developing, planning, organizing, and implementing an instructional program for exceptional student education (ESE) students through curriculum, lesson plans, educational programs, and individual education plan development while ensuring procedures for safety, security, and regulatory compliance.
Education, Training & Experience- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Exceptional Student Education, or a related field
- Certification:
Must be certified in Science or in the field of ESE - Approval by or participation in a state‑approved certification pathway program
- Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate or District‑issued adjunct certification
- Valid statement of eligibility
- Reading endorsement preferred; candidates willing to obtain an endorsement may be prioritized
This position may require teaching an additional period beyond the base contract. Compensation for the extra period will be paid at the negotiated rate and will be included in the salary for Florida Retirement System purposes.
Background ScreeningPasco County Schools requires Level II background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
