College And Workforce Readiness Success Coach

Overtown Youth Center is seeking a dedicated and student-focused College And Workforce Readiness Success Coach for 11th–12th Grade students to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a motivated, relationship-driven professional who is passionate about preparing youth for success in college, vocational training, military pathways, and workforce opportunities. As the College And Workforce Readiness Success Coach, you will provide comprehensive in-school and out-of-school coaching, advising, and case management services designed to support students as they transition from high school into postsecondary education and career pathways.

Through a structured and student-centered support model, the College And Workforce Readiness Success Coach will work collaboratively with students, families, school personnel, and Peer Leaders to deliver individualized guidance, small-group coaching, college and financial aid planning, academic monitoring, workforce readiness activities, and resource coordination. Students will gain critical knowledge and skills related to postsecondary planning, career exploration, financial literacy, leadership development, and long-term goal setting while building confidence, self-advocacy, and readiness for life beyond high school.

The role also includes conducting student needs assessments, tracking student progress and engagement, facilitating workshops and exposure opportunities, and connecting students and families to academic, workforce, and community-based resources that support student achievement and postsecondary success.

In this role, you will help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment that encourages student engagement, leadership development, exploration, and achievement. Rather than relying solely on traditional after-school programming, OYC Miami delivers services throughout the school day while also coordinating supplemental after-school, weekend, and non-school day opportunities focused on college planning, workforce development, leadership development, and enrichment experiences, including arts, STEM, culinary, sports, and experiential learning activities.

Overtown Youth Center is committed to enriching the lives of youth and families by offering opportunities for growth, development, and success. We provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where students are encouraged to explore their talents, learn new skills, and express themselves. Our focus is on empowering youth to achieve their full potential through various educational programs, including the arts.

Join us at Overtown Youth Center, where your passion for the arts can help inspire, empower, and transform the lives of young people in Miami.
