Position OverviewThis Adjunct faculty member teaches courses in Ballet and/or Modern Dance techniques. This individual may also choreograph and direct high school and college students in choreographic works. Experience or knowledge in Anatomy and Kinesiology, Dance Composition and Improvisation, and other dance academics is desirable. Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In‑Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.

- Participates in departmental and College affairs
- Develops curricula
- Recruits students
- Serves on committees
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Master’s degree in Dance from a regionally accredited institution or a Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution and 18 graduate credit hours in Dance
- Professional dance experience preferred
- Professional level dance teaching experience preferred
- Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community, including high school, college and university level students
- Ability to work in a multi‑ethnic/multicultural environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
- The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
