Teacher Assistant
Pay: $15.00 – $19.00 per hour
Job description:
Majority Kindergarten or 1st Grade Teacher Assistant
Under the direction of the Head of School and Teacher, the Teacher’s Assistant will support the Teacher and students in the classroom.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Associate’s degree/Bachelor’s degree Preferred
- Have understanding and experience with elementary school children.
- Display effective communication skills (written and oral).
- Be innovative, enthusiastic, and energetic.
- Ability to successfully complete Level II Background Screening clearance
- CPR/First Aid certified or ability to successfully complete
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. get down to children’s eye level; sit on floor to engage with students
- Maintain strict confidentiality relating to children, families, staff, and school issues while performing duties, as well as outside of the school
- Maintain job related certifications/credentials

- Support Teacher with the students in a variety of school settings.
- Display the ability and willingness to support the teacher by integrating the Arts into all aspects of the core subject classrooms.
- Demonstrate knowledge of technology
- Listen and follow teacher’s instructions
- Be a positive role model and team player
- Help in the office, lunch duty, library as needed
- Cooperate with teacher, staff, and leadership
