Part-Time Dual Enrollment Credentialed Instructor, Humanities and Social Sciences

Position Overview

This Part-Time Instructor teaches Humanities and Social Sciences courses.

Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.

In order to qualify, candidates must be employed by an authorized MDC Dual Enrollment secondary school partner and must meet Miami Dade College Faculty Credential Statement faculty teaching qualifications, including SACSCOC’s Principles of Accreditation minimum criteria: a Master’s degree in the teaching discipline of the assigned course(s) or a Master’s degree and at least 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline of the assigned course(s).

• Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
• Evaluates and advises students
• Participates in departmental and College affairs
• Develops curricula
• Recruits students
• Serves on committees
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Master’s degree in discipline or a Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and 18 graduate credit hours in discipline.
• All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution.
