Position Overview

This Adjunct faculty member provides instruction primarily in Pharmacy Technician courses and other related areas given appropriate credentials.

Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.

What you will be doing
  • Teaches in lecture, laboratory and/or clinical settings.
  • Plans and organizes instructional materials to meet course objectives.
  • Participates in curriculum development and revision that stress innovation and multicultural emphasis.
  • Evaluates and advises students.
  • Participates in departmental and College affairs.
  • Develops curricula.
  • Teaches both, evening and weekend classes as needed.
  • Recruits students.
  • Serves on committees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
What you need to succeed
  • Associate's degree and a Valid State of Florida Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician licensure/registration and 3 years of full‑time work and/or instructional experience as a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician.
  • All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community.
  • Must be able to travel between campuses, clinical sites and off‑campus offering sites.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule that may include working nights and weekends.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a multi‑ethnic/multi‑cultural environment.
