Miami Dade College (MDC) is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Faculty member to join the Dance Program at the New World School of Arts.

What you will be doing

Teach dance courses for both NWSA high school and college programs to include all levels of modern and other related areas such as composition, history and repertory
Choreograph and/or stage and serve as rehearsal director for dance works for the department
Evaluate and advise students
Participate in departmental, campus and college affairs
Participate in curriculum development and revision
Participate in student recruitment
Participate in a variety of departmental, campus and college-wide programs, activities and committees
Participate in all auditions, juries, conferences and other related activities
Attend performances

What you need to succeed

Master's degree in Dance from a regionally accredited institution or a Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution and 18 graduate credit hours in Dance
Degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
Proficiency in using instructional technology and multimedia resources
Effective communication skills and the ability to work with diverse student populations
Demonstrated ability to engage students through active learning strategies and problem-solving approaches
Willingness to teach at multiple campus or outreach sites and adapt to evening/weekend scheduling
