This is not a teaching position. You are here to motivate.
The kindest thing you can do for a student who reached 99% of their target is to refuse to accept it as finished. If that principle unsettles you, this role is not for you. If it energizes you—because maintaining the standard is how you demonstrate belief in what a student can achieve—then continue reading.
At Alpha, students complete their academic work through AI-driven applications. No traditional lectures. No printed textbooks. Roughly 60% of your time is spent facilitating one-hour workshops focused on life skills: public speaking, concentration, and the art of giving and receiving constructive feedback. Another 30% is dedicated to individual and small-group sessions, where you analyze student progress via Coachbot analytics and drive each one toward their weekly app targets.
The remaining 10% involves reviewing performance data and converting those insights into your coaching strategy for the week ahead. You will not follow a rigid script; workshops serve as a foundation, and top performers in this role modify them and create new content when they identify unmet needs.
A successful semester means at least 90% of students in your cohort meet their weekly app objectives, demonstrate quantifiable improvement in life skills on Test2
Pass, and rate their experience with you at 4 out of 5 or higher. Falling short on any of these three metrics means the role's core expectations have not been met. As you demonstrate your ability to uphold these standards, you become eligible for advancement to Lead Guide—mentoring newer Guides while continuing to manage a cohort—and eventually to Campus Lead, where you oversee an entire school and manage parent relations.
If you are drawn to conventional teaching, prefer ready-made curriculum materials, or view warmth and rigorous expectations as incompatible, this opportunity is not a fit. If your background includes athletic coaching, camp counseling, tutoring students through moments of resistance, or performing for groups of middle schoolers, the final stage before receiving an offer is a full-day on-campus trial coaching actual Alpha students.
If that prospect is what excites you most, submit your application today.

- Conducting daily individual and small-group motivation meetings that drive every student toward their weekly app targets, leveraging Coachbot data, Alpha's reward mechanisms (campus currency, performance rankings), and your personal rapport with each child to overcome reluctance
- Delivering the Test2
Pass (Alpha's competency-based evaluation) for each life skill, and continuing to coach students who fall short until they achieve mastery - Tailoring your coaching approach across a broad age spectrum, from kindergarteners requiring dynamic, physical engagement to 8th graders needing direct conversation and personal responsibility
- Analyzing weekly cohort performance metrics in Coachbot, pinpointing students who are underperforming, and modifying your coaching tactics for the upcoming week based on the data patterns you observe
- Presenting lessons at a whiteboard; academic content is delivered through the applications, not by you
- Designing an entire curriculum from scratch; you begin with an established playbook and infuse it with your own presence and narrative skill
- Passively monitoring students on computers; motivation in this environment is active, individualized, and persistent
- Working through institutional approval processes to secure support for struggling students; when a…
