Training Specialist

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Confers with management, supervisors, and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives, and technologies.
  • Formulates training objectives, outlines, and determines instructional methods such as classroom in-person instructor-led training, virtual instructor-led training, E-Learning, group instruction, one-to-one, conferences, meetings, and/or workshops.
  • Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role-playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos.
  • Selects training aids such as handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.
  • Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as on-the-job training, refresher training, etc.
  • Evaluates trainees to measure progress and to assess the effectiveness of training.
  • Identifies performance gaps or improper system usage and reports on the progress of employees under guidance during training periods.
  • Assists employees with "how to" perform specific tasks related to their positions.
  • Organizes classrooms for trainings and makes sure the material is sufficient and organized.
  • Makes suggestions on improving work procedures.
  • Maintains trainee personnel records.
  • Develops strong relationships with internal customers to develop course materials and receive feedback.
  • Demonstrates courtesy and politeness to patients, visitors and other employees.
  • Qualifications

    • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel & PPT)

    Work Experience

    • At least 1 (one) year of training experience in a healthcare environment or equivalent combination of training and working experience.

    Language Skills

    • Fluent in English and Spanish required.
