Elementary School Music Teacher

Role Description This full-time, on-site Elementary School Music Teacher role is located in Miami, FL. The teacher will plan and deliver age-appropriate music lessons that align with district standards and promote musical literacy, creativity, and performance skills. Daily responsibilities include developing lesson plans, teaching classes, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The role also involves organizing and directing student performances, collaborating with grade-level and special area teachers, and maintaining a classroom environment that is safe, respectful, and engaging.

The teacher will communicate regularly with families and school leadership, participate in professional development, and comply with all district policies and procedures.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Teaching and Elementary Education, with the ability to engage young learners in music instruction.
• Experience in Curriculum Development and Education, including designing standards-aligned music lesson plans and assessments.
• Effective Communication skills for interacting with students, families, and colleagues in a clear and professional manner.
• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related field; valid Florida teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain) in Elementary or Music Education.
• Proficiency in vocal or instrumental music, classroom management, and integrating technology into instruction.
• Commitment to inclusivity, culturally responsive teaching, and supporting diverse learning needs.
• Experience organizing student performances, concerts, or school events is highly beneficial.
