Role Description The Admissions Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami, FL, responsible for guiding prospective students through the admissions process from initial inquiry to enrollment. Day-to-day activities include responding to inquiries via phone, email, and in person; conducting interviews and campus tours; and explaining program offerings, admission requirements, and financial aid options in a clear and supportive manner.
The role involves evaluating application materials, maintaining accurate student records, and following up with prospective students to support timely decision-making. The Admissions Advisor collaborates with academic and administrative departments to ensure a smooth onboarding experience and participates in recruitment events, outreach activities, and presentations to prospective students, families, and community partners. The position requires consistent, professional representation of FNU's mission and values while meeting enrollment goals and providing excellent service to a diverse population.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and active listening.
- Proven Customer Service abilities, with a commitment to providing supportive and respectful assistance to diverse student populations.
- Experience in Student Recruiting and outreach, including engagement at events, presentations, and community activities.
- Background in Sales or enrollment advising, with the ability to meet goals ethically and align student needs with appropriate programs.
- Training or coaching skills to help students understand processes, requirements, and resources available to them.
- Ability to work on-site in Miami, FL, with strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple inquiries and deadlines.
- Familiarity with higher education admissions processes and student information systems; bilingual English/Spanish is highly beneficial.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in education, business, communications, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
