In the Lead Guide role, you will assemble and develop the team that brings this model to life—mentoring Guides, cultivating emerging leaders, and establishing a culture where students routinely surpass expectations.

This position is neither traditional instructional coaching nor conventional classroom teaching. You will not evaluate lesson plans or observe lectures, because none exist. Your focus will be on fostering a culture of excellence through Guide development, facilitating dynamic life skills workshops, and inspiring students to pursue ambitious objectives. Performance will be assessed by student experience quality, team effectiveness, and your capacity to uphold rigorous standards while motivating others to do the same.

• Developing Guides to reliably provide outstanding student experiences while upholding Alpha's rigorous standards.
• Facilitating dynamic life skills workshops that cultivate communication, leadership, focus, and other practical competencies for K-12 students.
• Inspiring students to pursue ambitious academic goals and optimize progress within their self-directed learning pathways.
• Leveraging data, direct observation, and coaching dialogues to enhance Guide effectiveness and student results.
• Supporting the launch and establishment of new Alpha campuses by cultivating a culture rooted in excellence, accountability, and relentless improvement.

• Delivering traditional academic instruction or subject-specific lectures.
• Developing lesson plans or creating curriculum materials.
• Compromising standards to provide superficial validation rather than fostering genuine mastery.
• Leading a team remotely without consistent, direct coaching of both students and Guides.
• Defending outdated methods solely because they represent established practice.

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related discipline;
  Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in education, coaching, learning and development, or comparable leadership capacity.
• Proven experience leading and developing teams of five or more individuals, including responsibility for hiring and performance-based termination decisions.
• Documented success utilizing data to generate performance enhancements.
• Experience engaging with children ages 5-14 in educational, coaching, or developmental contexts.
