At Alpha, students do not sit through traditional lectures. Instead, they advance academically via adaptive technology while Guides concentrate on motivation, accountability, coaching, and essential life skills. In the Lead Guide role, you will assemble and develop the team that sustains this model—mentoring Guides, cultivating emerging leaders, and fostering an environment in which students reliably surpass expectations.

This position is neither an instructional coaching assignment nor a conventional teaching role. You will not evaluate lesson plans or observe classroom instruction, as neither exists in this model. Your focus will be establishing a culture of excellence by coaching your team, facilitating dynamic life skills workshops, and inspiring students to pursue ambitious objectives. Performance will be assessed through the quality of student experiences, team effectiveness, and your capacity to uphold rigorous standards while motivating others to reach them.

• Coaching Guides to reliably provide outstanding student experiences while upholding Alpha's rigorous standards.
• Facilitating dynamic life skills workshops that build communication, leadership, focus, and other practical competencies for K-12 students.
• Inspiring students to pursue ambitious academic targets and optimize progress within their self-directed learning pathways.
• Leveraging data, direct observation, and coaching dialogues to enhance Guide effectiveness and student results.
• Supporting the launch and establishment of new Alpha campuses by cultivating a culture rooted in excellence, accountability, and ongoing improvement.

• Delivering traditional academic instruction or subject-specific lectures.
• Developing lesson plans or curriculum materials.
• Compromising standards to generate superficial feelings of success rather than facilitating genuine mastery.
• Leading a team remotely from an office without direct, regular coaching engagement with students and Guides.
• Maintaining obsolete practices solely because they reflect historical precedent.

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related discipline;
  Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in education, coaching, learning and development, or comparable leadership capacity.
