Job Summary

Provides training mission activities by delivering Digital Media Exploitation instruction in a manner that ensures effective understanding and application of skills taught. Develops, reviews, and refines lesson plans in accordance with the program. Evaluates and assess student baseline understanding of tasks. Delivers instruction in classroom and scenario settings. Performs ongoing evaluation of student knowledge and skills and provide verbal feedback as well as written evaluations.

  • Reviews, refines, updates if necessary, and comment on lesson plans.
  • Writes personal lesson outlines in support of existing Programs of Instruction and lesson plans.
  • Designs and develops training materials in support of lesson plans, POI guidelines.
  • Develops realistic training scenarios to replicate real-world operations.
  • Plans, develops, and implements training courses in support of POI.
  • Develops and implements evaluation tools to assess participant learning.
  • Conducts performance assessments and provides constructive feedback to enhance course quality and learning outcomes.
  • Trains on locating, identifying, and safeguarding potential sources of digital evidence.
  • Teaches on how to search for digital media, while documenting and preserving data in accordance with accepted standards
  • Instructs on report preparation, and verbal and written reporting of digital media examinations.
  • Teaches the use of computer forensic hardware.
  • Trains on media exploitation and recovery of digital evidence in accordance with U.S. federal and state laws.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Positions under National Forensic Science Technology Center will require Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and 5 years of experience in related field; OR nine (9) years of relevant training and/or military experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and/or military experience.

  • Experience in intelligence analysis, document and media exploitation, and/or digital forensics.
