MIU City University Miami is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Academic Director to join our academic leadership team.
We are looking for a professional with strong experience in higher education, academic management, faculty development, curriculum oversight, and accreditation compliance
, with the ability to lead academic initiatives and ensure the quality of our educational programs.
- Plan and coordinate on-campus and online course schedules before each semester.
- Monitor Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) at key academic milestones.
- Review course syllabi and academic materials prior to each semester.
- Lead faculty orientation and coordinate syllabi, materials, examinations, and schedules.
- Maintain and update faculty records in compliance with accreditation and licensing requirements.
- Develop and lead three faculty in-service training sessions annually
. - Maintain and update the Faculty Development Plan for each faculty member.
- Participate in accreditation visits, inspections, and institutional reviews.
- Organize Program Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings for each academic field.
- Supervise bi-monthly meetings for online and on-campus faculty.
- Coordinate and process faculty evaluations each semester.
- Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of new faculty members.
- Maintain a qualified faculty pool for each academic field.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of academic materials, curricula, and study plans for existing and new programs.
- Participate in the development of the Campus Effectiveness Plan (CEP) and Self-Study Narrative.
- Contribute to the University's Faculty Research Plan.
- Experience in higher education academic administration or academic leadership
. - Experience coordinating and developing faculty.
- Knowledge of academic quality assurance and accreditation processes.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple academic projects, deadlines, and stakeholders.
- Experience with curriculum development and academic program improvement.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and international academic environment.
