Learning Specialist - Part Time

The Lucy Project is hiring a part-time Learning Specialist to work directly with students who face reading challenges — using evidence-based, one-on-one and small-group instruction to help them build real, lasting literacy skills.

• Schedule: Flexible — morning or afternoon shifts, paid hourly
• Location: Miami-Dade (in-person)
• Pay: $25/hour
• Reports to: Instructional Specialist
• Commitment: 10 months, to give students the continuity they need

• Assess students' literacy skills and identify where support is needed
• Design and deliver lesson plans targeting reading, writing, and spelling
• Lead small-group sessions that build confidence and mastery
• Track progress and share updates with parents and teammates
• Collaborate with a close-knit team on other projects as they arise

• Bachelor's degree in education, speech therapy, occupational therapy, psychology, social work, or a related field
• Ability to commit for at least 10 months

We deliver personalized, evidence-based instruction that meets kids where they are — and we support the teachers around them with training and resources, so literacy support extends beyond our own sessions.
