VDC Manager
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking VDC Manager to lead digital construction initiatives and drive innovation across projects. This role will oversee BIM/VDC processes from preconstruction through project delivery, ensuring coordination, efficiency, and accuracy across all phases of construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all VDC/BIM efforts across multiple projects
- Develop and implement VDC strategies, standards, and workflows
- Oversee 3D modeling, clash detection, coordination, and constructability reviews
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Manage coordination meetings and ensure timely resolution of design conflicts
- Support preconstruction teams with visualization, logistics planning, and sequencing (4D)
- Drive adoption of VDC technologies and best practices across project teams
- Oversee model quality, data integrity, and adherence to project requirements
- Train and mentor VDC engineers and project staff
- Integrate VDC processes into scheduling, estimating, and field operations
- Support field teams with layout, prefabrication, and digital construction tools
Qualifications
- 7-12+ years of experience in VDC, BIM, or construction coordination
- Proven experience managing VDC efforts on large-scale commercial, healthcare, or complex projects
- Strong knowledge of BIM processes, clash detection, and coordination workflows
- Proficiency in tools such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360/ACC, and related platforms
- Experience with 4D scheduling, 5D estimating, and model-based workflows preferred
- Strong understanding of construction methods and project delivery processes
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
