The Asset Management Administrator is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and optimization of the utility’s asset management program, with a strong focus on digital transformation, infrastructure sustainability, and operational efficiency. This role bridges technical analysis, cross-departmental coordination, and system-level planning to improve how utility assets are tracked, maintained, and planned over their lifecycle.
The incumbent supports capital improvement planning, work order automation, and long-range infrastructure forecasting by managing asset data systems and integrating data visualization tools. Responsibilities include the development of internal tools and dashboards, training staff across departments, and ensuring consistent practices in asset tracking and reporting. The position also supports the review of utility designs and plans, coordination with consultants and contractors, permitting processes, and preparation of technical documentation related to capital projects and regulatory compliance.
Additionally, this role contributes to the development of AI-enabled solutions and smart utility initiatives to enhance decision-making, optimize asset performance, and support future-ready infrastructure planning.
The role works under limited supervision and exercises considerable independent judgment in recommending process improvements, leading system implementations, and advancing utility-wide digital initiatives.
