Overview
Join HSQ Group, an HFW partner firm, as a Project Manager in Private Sector Land Development. Lead projects from inception to completion and oversee a team of at least two designers. Expertise in Civil 3D and stormwater management is required. This role prefers candidates with a Professional Engineer (PE) license and requires strong client communication and leadership to maintain relationships and achieve project goals.
Responsibilities- Project Planning and Management:
Oversee planning, design, and implementation of land development projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. - Team Leadership:
Lead a team of at least two designers, providing guidance, mentorship, and supervision for high-quality outcomes. - Client Interaction:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and addressing their needs and expectations. - Technical Expertise:
Apply Civil 3D and stormwater management skills to develop and review designs, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations. - Budget and Resource Management:
Manage project budgets, resources, and schedules, identifying and mitigating risks to deliver successfully. - Quality Assurance:
Implement quality control processes to ensure deliverables meet required standards. - Communication:
Facilitate effective communication among clients, consultants, and internal teams to keep stakeholders informed and aligned. - Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, plans, and schedules for tracking and decision-making. - Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and obtain necessary permits and approvals. - Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus. - Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in land development projects with strong Civil 3D and stormwater management background. - Licensure:
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, offering higher pay. - Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in Civil 3D, stormwater management, and related engineering software. - Leadership:
Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, with experience managing at least two designers. - Client-Facing
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective client interaction. - Language:
Proficiency in Spanish is preferred to enhance communication with a diverse client base. - Project Management:
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines and budgets. - Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical and proactive approach to addressing project challenges. - Regulatory Knowledge:
Familiarity with local, state, and federal land development regulations and compliance.
