Professional Land Surveyor

Overview

The Professional Land Surveyor is responsible for reviewing and producing a wide range of survey deliverables, including field notes, record documents, title commitments, draft and final boundary surveys, location drawings, and other survey-related products. This role coordinates revisions to CAD drawings and prepares legal affidavits, legal descriptions, and FEMA elevation certificates for both residential and commercial properties.

The position requires prior field experience and may occasionally involve fieldwork to support crew operations as needed.

• Draw and produce boundary surveys, location surveys, and other survey-related documents as required
• Review field notes, record research, and survey data for accuracy and compliance
• Consult with internal teams and external clients to address questions, concerns, and requests for clarification
• Provide guidance on project scope and cost estimates
• Serve as a technical resource for the company president, customer service team, and inbound client inquiries
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to field crews
• Perform all duties in a safe, ethical, and professional manner to meet business objectives

• 3–5 years of experience as a Professional Surveyor and CAD drafter (licensure preferred but not required)
• Advanced working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and production standards
• Experience with boundary resolution, resolving conflicting record information, and exercising sound professional judgment
• Valid driver’s license
• Additional state licensures are a plus
• Salary is based on experience
