Environmental Engineer
RK&K is hiring a Technical Manager with a vision, experience and drive to lead technical aspects in support of our Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) group in the South Florida area. As a Technical Manager at RK&K, you will partner with our engineers, inspectors and support staff to deliver world class engineering services to State, Federal and Municipal customers. This position may include the oversight and management support of a team of construction engineering inspection staff.

Our technical managers are primarily responsible for the technical aspects of our services.
Working alongside our project managers, our technical managers work with engineers and inspection staff to deliver innovative and complete services of the highest quality. These technical leaders have a thorough understanding of National and State-Level standards and have a passion for mentoring staff.
- Lead and contribute expertise on transportation construction engineering inspection and operations services and projects in a dynamic, fast-paced team-oriented environment
- Review and certify engineering documents to meet quality control goals and standards of care
- Lead and mentor engineering and technician staff on transportation CEI and maintenance tasks
- Incorporate the latest technology and innovation into tasks and projects
- Manage the quality control process for deliverables
- Interfaces with client's and/or teaming partners technical managers
- Produce construction documents, specifications, and construction cost estimates is a plus
- Understand FDOT, State and local municipal and agency Specifications, Standards and other manuals and guidelines
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil and/or transportation engineering
- Eagerness and passion for leading complex and routine CEI and maintenance type projects and tasks, and creating lasting technical solutions
- Willingness to teach and mentor staff on relevant technical aspects
- Engineering Degree (Civil preferred) from an accredited university
- Florida State/local county(ies)/municipal agency experience
