Entry Level Engineer - Transportation​/Drainage Engineer

Overview

Ardurra is seeking a Transportation/Drainage Engineer in our Miami, FL office!

Ardurra's Transportation team offers design capabilities ranging from complex multilevel interchanges to urban arterial reconstruction to complete streets for our clients. Our portfolio features signature projects including the I-395 Signature Bridge reconstruction project in Downtown Miami. Each of our designs is customized, sustainable, and cost-effective for our clients covering all project types, including Design Build or Design Bid Build. Our clients have relied on our expertise in comprehensive planning, engineering design, and construction management to provide safe and efficient transportation solutions.

The successful candidate will work on a variety of transportation related design projects developing contract plans, specifications, and estimates for construction. They should have experience with the entire project design delivery process. The candidate shall perform engineering design tasks pertaining to roadway drainage design, production of plans, and writing technical reports and documents.

• Research, collect, and review data for transportation-related projects
• Complete technical assignments that include planning, modeling, calculations, design, detailed cost estimates, specifications, and permitting
• Utilize specialized computer software to assist with the analysis, design, and plan production for new transportation systems or parts of systems, such as highways, streets, bridges, drainage structures, and roadway lighting
• Aid in the preparation of detailed reports and documentation of the design approach
• Assist with plan alterations and modifications of existing streets, highways, or freeways to improve traffic flow

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
• Approximately 3-8 years of progressive engineering experience in transportation design
• Proficient in Microstation and Open Roads Designer
• Proficient in MS Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
