• Develop and implement full‑scale Storage Area Network (SAN) architecture for a large EMC‑based SAN infrastructure in a multi‑enterprise, geographically dispersed solution that ranges from single servers to multi‑tier, multi‑platform systems connected through fibre channel to multiple EMC Storage Arrays with petabytes of storage capacity.
• Design, configure, and deploy SAN solutions that address performance, capacity, replication, disaster recovery, backup disk storage, and backup & recovery requirements.
• Define and set a strategic direction for the SAN and backup environment.
• Translate customer storage requirements into an enterprise solution that will be developed, installed, configured, and deployed in the environment.
• Provide overall storage and backup capacity planning, utilization reporting, and cost modeling.
• Produce standards and implementation processes for storage configuration, optimization, replication, virtualization, storage security, and disaster recovery.
• Troubleshoot complex SAN infrastructure issues and collaborate with internal and external customers to resolve them.
• Plan, schedule, and assist in the execution of routine maintenance and infrastructure projects.
• Develop technical documentation, tiered storage and storage‑as‑a‑service roadmaps, presentations, and cost models.
• Maintain and develop the SAN infrastructure as part of a team to ensure 24/7/365 uptime.
• Architect and maintain a private cloud environment; experience with Gov Cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.) and hybrid cloud architectures is desirable.
• Perform security‑related tasks, including documentation, vulnerability scan review, assessment support, patch management, and auditing as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or another relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Eight (8) years of relevant work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
• Significant direct experience with Dell EMC products such as One File System (OneFS), MDS SAN switches, and storage arrays (Unity, Isilon, VNS, and Data Domain) and Recover Point.
