Arcadis – Senior ITS Traffic Analyst / Project Manager
Arcadis is seeking a Senior ITS Traffic Analyst / Project Manager to join our transportation team in South Florida, Miami, FL. The Senior ITS Traffic Analyst / Project Manager will serve as a South Florida regional lead and project manager in ITS and traffic engineering. As a client‑facing engineer, the role involves a range of responsibilities focused on improving safety and operations.
The position teams with senior program managers, project managers, and engineers to lead the delivery for programs and projects across the Southeast.
- Serve as client‑facing project manager on traffic engineering projects with a focus on improving safety and operations.
- Develop and manage scope, schedule, and budget for projects and programs.
- Provide and present written and verbal updates on the status of projects to clients and internal senior management.
- Coordinate with subject‑matter experts including survey, roadway design, and environmental specialists to successfully deliver client projects.
- Work with client managers and operational leaders to develop project pursuit strategies and plans.
- Lead the delivery of planning, design, studies, and operations and maintenance of traffic, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO) solutions and products.
- Lead project team in preparation of traffic engineering plans for signal designs, signing and marking designs, conceptual designs for intersections, and ITS designs.
- Coordinate and interface with clients to discuss technical elements of the project and present analysis results. Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and interns in technical proficiency and consultancy.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in traffic analysis and engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
- Ability to obtain a Florida PE license within one month of hire.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Experience with traffic analysis and engineering principles.
- Experience in FDOT design standards, ITS design, traffic operations studies, intersection conceptual drafting, safety studies/analysis, ITS and/or TSMO program operations.
- Strong teamwork and independent work skills; ability to lead technical staff and engineers.
- Experience with streamlining and coordinating multiple projects.
- Familiarity with Micro Station and/or Bentley Open Roads, VISSIM, Sidra, Synchro/Sim Traffic, HCS, ITE, MUTCD, AASHTO, and state DOT requirements.
- Experience managing large tasks and/or projects.
- Experience with FDOT clients and projects.
Salary range: $113,933–$193,686.
