Control Systems Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Control Systems Engineer for a Contract with a client in Miami, FL/Chaska, MN. The ideal candidate is responsible for designing, programming, and commissioning industrial automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, and robotics while ensuring seamless project execution and compliance.

Rate Range: $37/hour to $41/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Control Systems Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design and program industrial control systems including PLCs, HMIs, robotics, motion control, and vision systems.
• Lead automation projects across lifecycle phases including design, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to define requirements and deliver automation solutions.
• Perform system debugging, testing (FAT/SAT), and ensure compliance with technical and regulatory standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize system performance, reliability, and process efficiency.
• Provide technical documentation, training, and regular project updates to stakeholders and engineering teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems engineering.
• Strong hands-on expertise in PLC programming (ladder logic, structured text), HMIs, drives, and industrial automation systems including commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to manage end-to-end automation projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and performance standards.

Pay Details: $37.00 to $41.00 per hour
