About the opportunity
An established MEP consulting engineering team is adding an experienced Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Designer to support active building projects across commercial, healthcare, education, multifamily, residential, and similar markets.
Why this role exists now
The team has ongoing project demand and is adding a production-capable mechanical contributor who can step into active work with minimal ramp-up.
Responsibilities
HVAC and mechanical design production
- Design HVAC and mechanical systems for building projects
- Prepare construction documents, plans, and technical specifications
- Support multi-story building work with repeatable system layout logic
- Perform heat load calculations and energy analysis
- Coordinate designs with electrical and plumbing disciplines
- Review shop drawings and assist with construction-phase needs
Required qualifications
- 4 or more years of experience in an MEP or consulting engineering environment
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (skills may be evaluated)
- Working knowledge of HVAC system design and building systems
- Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven consulting environment
- Revit experience strongly preferred
- Professional Engineer license or Engineer in Training (may impact compensation)
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
