The OpportunityEveryone is trying to harness the cloud, but not everyone knows how to secure it. As a Cloud Security Engineer you will assess and implement requirements that ensure the safety of information systems and protect them against intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. Your advanced cloud security skills will improve mission‑critical applications for the warfighter and guide the development of cloud‑based security architectures for some of the customer’s most critical systems.
ResponsibilitiesImplement security controls and frameworks within cloud environments, ensuring compliance with security policies. Recommend tools and capabilities based on research of the current environment and knowledge of on‑premise, cloud‑based, and hybrid resources to address the RMF. Work with the customer to ensure standards are met with information assurance and security requirements.
Qualifications- Experience implementing cloud security frameworks
- Experience configuring identity and access management (IAM) solutions
- Experience conducting vulnerability assessments in cloud environments
- Experience with SIEM tools, zero‑trust architecture, and cloud security monitoring solutions
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or Information Assurance, or 5+ years of experience in cloud security engineering in lieu of a degree
- Experience working in DoW or IC environments preferred
- Experience with the RMF or ATO process
- CISSP, AWS Certified Security Specialty, or Microsoft Certified:
Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals certification
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Secret clearance is required.
CompensationSalary range: $86,800.00 to $ (annualized USD). The posting will close within 90 days of posting date.
