Title:
Control Systems Engineer
Locations:
Miami FL OR Chaska, MN(Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months
Salary Range: $36- $39/Hour on W2/ C2C
IntroductionWe are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our team for a 6-month onsite role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation engineering and be proficient in PLC programming, AC/DC drives, and safety systems.
RequiredSkills & Qualifications
- Proficient in PLC programming (ladder logic & structured text)
- Experience with AC/DC drives, servo motors, HMIs, machine vision, and safety systems
- Strong project leadership skills, including debugging, installation, equipment commissioning, and training
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive mindset for process optimization and problem-solving
- Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with complex mechanical systems including CAD modeling
- Experience with Rockwell Automation Control Logix family of programmable controllers, Cognex vision systems, industrial robotics
- Digital integration leveraging PLC & SCADA systems, including basic understanding of computer networking, TCP/IP, and industrial fieldbus architectures such as Ethernet I/P
- Collaborate cross-functionally with customer factories and contracted suppliers to develop user requirements specifications (URS), automation concepts, and architectural-level designs for automated equipment
- Participate in end-to-end project execution with external equipment suppliers & integrators, ensuring regulatory compliance
- Design and program industrial control systems such as PLCs, robotics, HMIs, vision systems, motion control systems
- Actively participate in design reviews and provide technical input to drive engineering decisions
- Drive the Global Automation engineering team’s best practices across project tollgates
- Excellent teamwork, coordination, and communication skills
- Self-starter, energizing, results-oriented, and able to multi-task
- Ability to handle huge data and work with cross-functional teams
- Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, and delivery targets
