Position OverviewThe world needs innovators and problem solvers who turn challenges into greater opportunities, especially on tunneling projects. By joining us as a Global Sr. Tunnel Engineer you’ll work on the planning, design and construction of tunnels and other underground structures.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Strategy – Develop and implement national strategies for tunnel engineering projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry standards.
- Project Management – Oversee the planning, design, and execution of large‑scale tunnel projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Technical Expertise – Provide expert guidance on complex engineering challenges, including geotechnical analysis, structural design, and construction methodologies.
- Team Development – Mentor and develop a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and industry partners to build strong relationships and secure new business opportunities.
- Quality Assurance – Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control procedures.
- Research and Development – Stay abreast of the latest advancements in tunnel engineering and integrate new technologies and best practices into projects.
To be successful in this role, you will need a combination of an appropriate educational background, extensive experience, technical proficiency, and strong leadership and communication skills.
Qualifications- Education – Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Experience – Minimum 15 years of experience in tunnel engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Technical Skills – Extensive knowledge of tunnel design and construction, including TBM, NATM, and cut‑and‑cover methods. Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, PLAXIS, and Tunnel
CAD. - Leadership Skills – Strong leadership and team‑management abilities, with a proven track record of leading successful projects and teams.
- Communication – Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Problem‑Solving – Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

The base salary range for this position is $ to $. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
