Mechanical Engineer​/Designer​/Project Manager

LOUIS J. AGUIRRE & ASSOCIATES is seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic multidisciplinary engineering firm. We are looking for a professional, team-oriented individual who takes initiative, values collaboration, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.

• Lead the design and development of HVAC systems for diverse, high-profile projects from concept through construction documentation.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents using AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM 360.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated, code-compliant, and energy-efficient mechanical solutions.
• Support the development and implementation of internal standards and best practices for the Mechanical Engineering team.
• Perform quality control reviews, checking the accuracy and completeness of design work across multiple projects.
• Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting critical deadlines, budgets, and client expectations.
• Utilize Trane Trace for load calculations and system modeling, and leverage Newforma for project document management.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
• Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on HVAC design for building systems.
• Ensure compliance with Florida Mechanical, Plumbing, and Energy Codes, ASHRAE standards, NFPA, ANSI, and other applicable regulations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, Microsoft Office Suite
  , and experienced with Trane Trace and Newforma

• In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills—both written and verbal.
• A self-starter with the ability to work independently under general supervision while contributing positively to team dynamics.
