The Area Drinking Water Treatment Business Class Lead will be an internally and externally facing leader for the Florida Water Business Group Drinking Water Team. This role has three (3) primary responsibilities:
* Lead area-level water treatment business class initiatives and activities, serve as a drinking water treatment technical champion; and manage workload of the drinking water treatment team.
* To meet our drinking water treatment initiatives, drive growth, and promote innovation the Area Drinking Water Treatment Business Class Lead will be expected to be a presence in the marketplace (e.g. conferences, professional organizations) and to be an effective partner with Florida area client managers and business development leaders (e.g. proposal development).
* As a technical champion, the Area Drinking Water Treatment Business Class Lead will be expected to develop and mentor junior water treatment engineers and EITs, lead quality reviews, communicate national drinking water treatment initiatives and updates to staff, and serve as a technical lead or project manager on drinking water treatment projects for our clients.
Lastly, you will be responsible for the workload management of the drinking water treatment staff to achieve their utilization goals and also the strategic development of their technical resumes for their growth and successful pursuit of key projects.
This candidate is expected to be an effective partner with, and report to the area Professional Services Lead, area BCLs, business development staff, and client managers. The Area Drinking Water Treatment Business Class Lead must also be adept at engaging HDR's broad resources outside of the area to support the local Florida program.
Preferred Qualifications
* 10 years of overall experience delivering treatment projects for municipal drinking water systems as an engineer and project manager
* Proven supervisorial leadership and technical mentoring skills.
* Existing quality relationships with clients in Florida.
* Ability to support pursuit efforts with technical and client leadership.
* Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
* Actively engaged in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field
* 10 years of experience
* Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values
* Maintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience
* Experienced in development and management of diverse teams
* Works cooperatively with other area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts
* An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
