ABOUT THE COMPANY

Seafair Yachts is a premier luxury yachting company based in Miami, specializing in world‑class maritime experiences, private charters, and high‑end vessel operations. We are expanding our fleet and seeking a skilled Vessel Engineer to maintain the performance, safety, and reliability of our newest vessel launching in April.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Vessel Engineer is responsible for the mechanical, electrical, and technical systems aboard company vessels. This includes routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repair work, and ensuring all operations meet regulatory and safety standards. The Vessel Engineer acts as the onboard Environmental Officer, ensuring compliance with Federal and Local pollution regulations. This role includes documenting and maintaining the vessel’s Marine Sanitation Device (MSD), updating the Oil Discharge Log, and managing any incidents of contaminated runoff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on engines, generators, HVAC, electrical systems, and onboard machinery
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues promptly
  • Maintain detailed logs of all maintenance and repair work
  • Ensure vessels comply with USCG and company safety regulations
  • Assist with vessel operations during charters, trips, and dockside procedures
  • Coordinate with the operations team to identify and prioritize technical needs
  • Oversee spare parts inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Serve as Environmental Officer.
  • Reports directly to the captain
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior experience as a Marine/Vessel Engineer (yachts preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of marine engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and onboard equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on‑call as needed
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Proficiency in Audio/Video equipment (preferred but not required)
  • USCG licensing or relevant certifications (preferred but not required)
