- Registered PE in the State of Florida
- Minimum of 15 years FDOT experience and highway‑specific project experience
- BS degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis on Highway/Transportation Design from an ABET‑accredited college or university
- Experience pursuing and managing multi‑discipline projects, including bridge replacement, new bridge alignment, or bridge rehabilitation
- Client relationships with FDOT District Four and FDOT District Six
- Proficiency in Micro Station and Bentley Open Road Designer and familiarity with AASHTO
- Ability to work in a team environment with a professional sense of urgency and self‑initiative to meet client needs
- Strong work ethic with the ability to mentor junior engineers
- Detail oriented with good oral and written communication skills and fluency in English
- Pursue and win projects with FDOT and local agency clients
- Prepare proposals and marketing presentations
- Manage multiple projects and project teams within budget and schedule
- Develop preliminary details using CAD software and provide information to CAD technicians and junior engineers for development of contract plans
- Lead and manage the planning, design, and delivery of highway and roadway projects from concept through construction
- Oversee and coordinate project teams, ensuring work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with design standards
- Serve as the primary client contact, fostering strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction
- Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for roadway geometric design, drainage, traffic control, and related highway design elements
- Develop and monitor project scopes, budgets, and schedules; prepare proposals and cost estimates
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration and growth
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and agencies to ensure project success
- Provide technical and leadership guidance for transportation engineers
- Perform roadway design tasks and plan preparation utilizing Open Road Designer from conception to final deliverable, including specifications package, cost estimate, and post‑design services
- Perform and check quantity take‑offs from contract plans
- Review and check roadway and shop drawings
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
