Engineering Consulting Services (ECS) is seeking an experienced environmental consultant to join our Assessment & Remediation team as a Senior Project Manager.
In this role, you will own projects from proposal through final invoice - directly or through subordinates, serving as the primary client point of contact throughout. The ideal candidate brings a strong customer service mindset and alignment with ECS Core Values.
Key Responsibilities- Manage multiple concurrent environmental assessment, remediation, and investigation projects including budgets, change orders, invoicing, and collection efforts
- Direct field investigations covering groundwater, soil sampling, UST assessments, and remediation system design, installation, operations & maintenance
- Develop site work plans including sample/boring locations, equipment needs, safety requirements, and subcontractor logistics
- Review and approve deliverables prior to Principal review; lead client meetings to present findings and address questions
- Maintain and grow client relationships through active business development
- Mentor and develop junior staff and project managers; collaborate with senior managers on staffing decisions
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations across all project phases
- BS/MS in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Geoscience, Environmental Science, or related field
- 8+ years of environmental consulting experience
- Professional Geologist (PG) license preferred
- Experience working within Miami-Dade County regulatory framework, including county-specific compliance requirements and permitting processes
- Extensive knowledge of environmental principles and applications.
- Extensive knowledge of permitting processes, environmental regulations, and environmental test methods
- Extensive ability to manage and develop new clients. Seek out opportunities to develop relationships with clients.
- Review and provide feedback of field and laboratory testing by others. Perform training and/or corrective action as necessary.
- Excellent ability to manage and develop new clients
- Experience delegating/assigning projects and tasks to other staff while also managing other projects independently.
