Robotics Deployment Engineer

Overview

A Robotics Deployment Engineer supports the installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of robotic and automated systems at customer sites. This role is hands-on and travel-heavy, requiring strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work safely and independently in fast-paced industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and deploy robotic systems and associated hardware
  • Support commissioning activities, including functional tests, validation, and system bring-up
  • Perform troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, and automation components
  • Conduct on-site repairs, adjustments, and calibration as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and operations teams on system readiness
  • Interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and mechanical layouts
  • Document work performed and communicate daily status updates to project leads
  • Follow all site safety requirements and ensure compliance with company procedures
  • Train end users on proper operation and basic maintenance when required
  • Travel to customer facilities for deployments, retrofits, and upgrades
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related field
  • Experience with installation, troubleshooting, or commissioning of automated systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Proficiency using hand tools, measurement tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and comfort learning new technologies
  • Ability to travel frequently and work extended hours during deployments
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs and work on feet for long periods
