Civil Engineer
A Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and supervising the construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects like roads, bridges, buildings, water treatment plants, and sewage systems, ensuring their safety and functionality by adhering to building codes and environmental regulations, often working across all phases of a project from conception to completion, utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed plans and manage project budgets and timelines.
Two positions available: one for 3+ years and Sr. for 7+ years.
Must have experience with ICPR (aka Stormwise). Site civil engineering drainage experience is required. Civil 3-D is not required. Looking for someone with SoFL drainage experience, including Cascade and ICPR. (Cascade not a must but a huge plus).
Responsibilities:
- Perform civil engineering plans preparation in water and wastewater distribution and conveyance infrastructure, focused on site design project components including site layout, infrastructure piping, roadways, paving, grading, drainage, and stormwater infrastructure.
- Reviews of contractor submittals for conformance with contract plans and specifications, and evaluate requests for information as part of engineering services during construction.
Qualifications:
- Must have experience with ICPR (aka Stormwise).
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Have a minimum of 7 years of directly-relevant experience in civil/site development; registered professional engineer is preferred, but not required.
- Have developed working drawings for civil site plans (layout, plan and profile, grading, drainage, and paving).
- Possess experience with the planning and design of facility layout and site design projects.
- Strong drainage design experience is preferred;
Cascade 2001 and/or ICPR Version 4 is preferred. - Have ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team.
- Possess strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Have Miami-Dade County design/permitting experience is preferred, but not required.
