Specialist DCS ControlThe Specialist DCS Control will be responsible for providing specialized technical support to distributed control systems (DCS) and automation of the thermoelectric power plant, ensuring a safe, reliable, and efficient operation of thermoelectric generation processes and auxiliary systems.
The role involves diagnosing complex failures, executing control logic changes, coordinating technical interventions, and ensuring operational availability in a high technical demand and operational pressure environment.
Principal Responsibilities• Continuously monitor the performance of thermoelectric DCS systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex failures in control systems and instrumentation.
• Execute changes in control logic, PID adjustments, and operational optimizations.
• Coordinate technical interventions with operations, maintenance, engineering, and suppliers.
• Participate in plant startups, shutdowns (outages), and functional tests under operational pressure.
• Ensure the availability and reliability of critical control systems.
• Maintain technical documentation, backups, and traceability of changes made.
• Interact with international suppliers for technical fault resolution.
• Analyze trends, operational KPIs, and propose continuous improvements.
• Train operators and technical staff on DCS systems and automation.
• Ensure compliance with industrial safety, reliability, and environmental management standards.
Academic Background
• University degree in Electronic Engineering, Automation, Systems, or Electrical.
Experience and Technical Knowledge
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation and DCS systems.
• Proven experience in thermoelectric power plant generation.
• Knowledge in:
- Distributed control systems (DCS)
- Experience with Siemens PCS7, Emerson Ovation or similar systems
- Thermal generation (boilers, turbines, thermodynamic cycles)
- Instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level)
- Automatic control (PID)
- Control logics and protection systems
- Mandatory handling of industrial protocols:
- Modbus
- Profibus
- OPC
- TCP/IP and RTU
- Experience with PLCs and automation systems.
- Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity (ICS) and environmental management.
- Experience in high operational pressure environments and critical operations support.
- Experience in technical leadership and interaction with multidisciplinary teams.
Desirables
• Certifications in DCS (Siemens PCS7, Emerson Ovation or similar).
• Experience in FAT/SAT, system integration, and automation projects.
• Experience in plant shutdowns (outages)
