Technical Services Specialist I (Junior Database Modeler)

Location: Miami, FL

Schedule: Standard Office Hours

Duration: 12-Month Contract

Pay Rate: $27.49/hour

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated entry-level Technical Services Specialist to support computer-based database modeling activities for electrical power systems.

This position is ideal for a recent engineering graduate looking to launch a career within the utilities industry. Prior database modeling experience is not required
. Successful candidates will complete approximately three to four months of comprehensive classroom and hands-on training covering database modeling software, company standards, and technical procedures.

Following training, you will work alongside experienced engineers to develop and maintain technical database models that support electrical system planning and operations.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with computer-based database modeling activities.
  • Learn and apply company modeling standards, procedures, and software applications.
  • Develop and maintain accurate engineering database models.
  • Review technical information for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support engineering teams with modeling and technical documentation.
  • Participate in classroom and on-the-job training programs.
  • Maintain high attention to detail while working with technical data.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technical specialists on assigned projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or another Engineering discipline.
  • Coursework in Power Systems preferred.
  • Completion of Power Systems I and Power Systems II is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong computer proficiency.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software applications.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
