Pinto Valley is an open-pit copper mine located at the west end of the historic Globe-Miami mining district of central Arizona, approximately 80 miles east of Phoenix. Pinto Valley has been in operation since 1972 and has produced more than four billion pounds of copper. Acquired by Capstone from BHP in 2013, the mine is fully permitted through 2039 and a study is underway to potentially extend the mine life through 2050.

POSITION PURPOSE

The Project Manager II – Water Management is responsible for leading and delivering capital and sustaining projects that support the performance, reliability, and capacity of site water management systems at Pinto Valley Mine. This role executes projects that are critical to maintaining water balance, supporting tailings deposition requirements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and operational constraints defined by the Water Management team.

The Project Manager works under the direction of the Superintendent, Water Management, to deliver projects that align with the site water strategy and long-term mine planning.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Project Manager II, you will be responsible for managing and executing small to medium Cap Ex and OpEx projects by developing key project documents, monitoring budgets and safety, coordinating with stakeholders, reviewing technical and construction drawings, using SAP, facilitating bids and meetings, and ensuring project goals and KPIs across HSEC, Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Cost are met, all under direct supervision.
